The History of Sigma at Binghamton
The lovely ladies of Sigma at Binghamton University began their journey during the fall 2012 semester. After forming an e-board, and garnering a lot of interest amongst bright young women on campus, Sigma began to gain momentum at Binghamton. On January 29th 2012, a group of 19 women formed a proud colony of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi and on January 26th, 2013 the colony was inducted as the Xi chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi!
Today

Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi at Binghamton University continues to play an active role in philanthropic causes, by supporting other Greek organizations' events and hosting our own. We work with international causes, such as the American Jewish World Service, to help people in need across the globe. We also work to help those in our Binghamton community. We have partnered with the Binghamton Chapter of the YWCA to help provide women and their families support and resources to live strong and fulfilled lives.
In addition we have frequent sisterhood events to encourage the deepening of bonds between sisters and to remind each other what it means to wear our letters loud and proud across campus. We do other fun events like Challah baking and Sukkah decorating, which emphasize our deep relationships with the Jewish organizations on campus, like Hillel and Chabad. You can often find sisters attending Shabbat dinners at both of these wonderful organizations.
